FAQ
No surprises.
How the ranking works, how the heats are set up and what the day looks like between one event and the next.
Anything else, write to us.
Can I rent a bike and a wetsuit?
Yes. Both the bike and the wetsuit can be rented from the event page once registration opens.
Do the OPEN and MASTER heats have different start times?
Yes. In both H12 and H24, the OPEN heat starts at least 2 hours before the MASTER heat. MASTER athletes who want to race in OPEN can ask to switch, accepting the disadvantage, by writing to support@steelmanh24race.com.
How does the ranking work?
- Every event is chip-timed. Rankings update in real time, with no processing delays.
- Scoring is by placement: 2nd place is worth 2 points, 5th place is worth 5 points, and so on. The athlete or team with the fewest points at the end of the race wins.
- An overall time is also calculated as the sum of the times of the 8 events.
Is there recovery time between events?
Yes. Every event is followed by a recovery window so athletes can eat, change and get ready for the next discipline.
If I don't complete an event, am I disqualified?
No. If an event is not completed for any reason, you are ranked last in that event and can continue with the rest of the race.
Will there be an Athletes' Area for resting?
Yes. Next to the stadium, athletes have access to a secure 400 m² hall to rest and store their gear, watched over by our Security team.
Will there be a Kids' area?
Yes. Starting in 2026 there will be a dedicated Kids' area, so families can enjoy the race safely and have fun.
